Four Ways to Participate and Improve Farm Value
The ONE RED Ag Data Bank & Grants Program is designed to help Nebraska farmers improve farm value through opportunities tied to eligible fields and participating acres. Depending on the opportunities selected, participation may provide access to payments, incentives, grants, local technical support, and tools that help improve farm management decisions.
Participation is voluntary and farmer-led. You decide which eligible fields, acres, opportunities, and activities to pursue.

Financial Incentives for Participation
Current program materials include an initial payment for joining the Ag Data Bank and additional payments for continued data submission.
Ag Data Bank Participation Payments

After enrolling in the Data Bank farmers becomes eligible for additional incentives including:
- Corn nitrogen management
- Soil health improvements

Final payment amounts, grant caps, eligibility requirements, and program limits will be published before enrollment opens.

Each participant works with an Approved Service Provider (ASP). Your ASP may help with:

More Efficient Recordkeeping
The Ag Data Bank is intended to reduce paperwork and streamline participation. Benefits may include:
- Centralized record storage
- Reduced duplication of information
- Easier organization of supporting documentation
- Simplified participation in ONE RED opportunities
Technology and Equipment Opportunities
ONE RED may help farmers evaluate and adopt technologies that support:
- Water management
- Nutrient management
- Soil health
- Precision agriculture
- Data collection and analytics
Flexible and Farmer-led
Participation is voluntary. Farmers keep ownership of their data. The program allows rolling enrollment, although joining early may provide more time to receive available benefits before current funding ends.
Nitrogen Management
Eligible corn producers may qualify for incentives of up to $15 per acre by demonstrating strong nitrogen management performance or improving nitrogen use efficiency over time. Opportunities are designed to support efficient fertilizer use while maintaining productivity.
Soil Health
Farmers may qualify for incentives of up to $15 per acre for eligible soil health practices, including cover crops, reduced tillage, and no-till management. These opportunities are intended to improve soil function, conserve resources, and strengthen long-term farm value.
Designed to Work with Other Programs
ONE RED is designed to complement other agricultural programs. State and local cost-share programs are generally expected to be compatible. Some federal programs may also be combined with ONE RED, but farmers should confirm requirements with each program provider. Other cost shares will be applied first, and ONE RED reimbursement will be based on actual eligible costs.
Who May Qualify
Current program design is intended for Nebraska farmers with at least 80 eligible acres growing corn, soybeans, sorghum, or canola. Incentive eligibility may differ by crop, irrigation status, management practice, and location. First-year geographic priorities and maximum acreage limits are still being finalized.
