ONE RED provides incentives and reimbursement support for qualifying practices, equipment, and technology tied to eligible fields and participating acres. These opportunities are designed to enhance operational efficiency and decision making in the field while also strengthening long term farm value through improved performance and resilience.
Producers must be enrolled in the ONE RED Ag Data Bank to be eligible for equipment funding and reimbursement opportunities.

Nitrogen Management Opportunities
Examples of eligible nitrogen management technologies may include precision application equipment, nitrogen decision-support tools, crop canopy sensors, and related software.
Soil Health Opportunities
Examples of eligible soil health activities may include cover crops, reduced-till or no-till equipment, grid sampling and other approved conservation practices.
Ag Data Bank Participation
Farmers receive payments for submitting required information for eligible fields and participating acres to the secure ONE RED Ag Data Bank. Information may include field location, crop type, yield, nitrogen use, tillage, cover crops, applied water, and other required field-level information.
Corn Nitrogen Management
Corn farmers may qualify for a $15-per-acre incentive by achieving nitrogen use efficiency of 1.0 or less or improving nitrogen use efficiency by more than 15 percent compared with baseline.
Corn producers may qualify for incentives to improve or showcase nitrogen management performance. Current program materials include incentives of up to $15 per acre for eligible nitrogen management activities designed to support improved nitrogen use efficiency and continuous improvement.
Soil Health
Qualifying soil health practices may include newly adopted reduced-tillage practices and new ground cover, with potential incentives of $15 per acre that are meant to be stacked with other similar programs.
Farmers may qualify for incentives of up to $15 per acre for eligible soil health practices, including cover crops, reduced-till, and no-till management. These opportunities are intended to support soil health, resource conservation, and long-term farm value.
Equipment & Technology
Farmers may qualify for reimbursement for approved equipment and technology that support nitrogen or water management.

How Approval Works
Before You Purchase
Confirm eligibility and approval requirements with your Approved Service Provider before purchasing equipment, technology, or services or beginning a practice. A purchase or activity completed before approval may not qualify for reimbursement or an incentive.
Documentation May Be Required
- Product, service, or practice information
- Cost estimates, quotes, or invoices
- Proof of payment
- Field and participating-acre information
- Other documentation required by the program or the farmer’s ASP
Reimbursement
Equipment and technology funding is generally provided as reimbursement for approved eligible costs. Farmers should confirm approval, purchasing, installation, and documentation requirements before committing funds.
Selected Fields and Acres
ONE RED opportunities are tied to eligible fields, participating acres, selected practices, and approved equipment or technology. Farmers do not have to include every field or acre.
